1. Announcing the new Substrate staking dashboard

Our new staking dashboard for Substrate networks Polkadot and Kusama offers insights about the performance of your validators, so you can be confident about your participation.

This new experience is the default for all Polkadot and Kusama participation on our platform. If you’re interested in learning more, contact us to request a demo or to start participating in the Substrate ecosystem.

Ecosystem Updates

  • Terraform Labs committed $150M in LUNA to fund the development of Cosmos SDK, Tendermint, CosmWasm, and validator infrastructure, as part of Project Dawn, a funding initiative for infrastructure improvements and core technologies to support the growth of the Terra ecosystem.
  • The Alogrand Foundation launched the Viridis DeFi Program with a $300M fund in ALGO to fund DeFi innovation on the Algorand network, leveraging the Algorand protocol and open source software.
  • Celo launched a $100M fund to support DeFi adoption for mobile users, along with a consortium of DeFi protocols and partners.
  • V1 of Optics (the Optimistic Inter-chain Communication Standard), an optimistic bridging mechanism, was also launched by the Celo team and surpassed 15M in total value locked in its first week of operation. The V1 deployment of Optics smart contracts on Celo, Ethereum, and Polygon allows users to interact directly with the contracts to send ERC‐20 tokens between the three chains.
  • Google Cloud announced a multi‐year partnership with Dapper Labs to support infrastructure helping the Flow blockchain scale. Dapper Labs also announced $250M in new funding.
  • The Stike API launched with its first partner, Twitter, enabling Twitter users to send and receive tips in BTC using the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
